We removed the raised 100 yard firing line on range 6 and moved approximately 1200 yards of dirt to the top of the impact berms on ranges 6 and 7 as part of the recommendations of the NRA range department. President John Stowell is driving the excavator, Dave Beringer, our Vice President, is checking the depth of fill and Dave Britton is running the tractor.
On Friday, January 4th our area experienced one of Mother Nature's finest storms with wind gusts up to 60 MPH in some places. This resulted in widespread damage and Cowboy Town was not spared Mother Nature's wrath. Hardly anything was left standing. There will be a work party on Saturday, January 12th and Sunday, January 13th to repair as much damage as possible in order that matches might resume again on Sunday, January 20th. Even our youths enjoy shooting at our range
Cowboy Town vs. Mother Nature Junior Shotgun Group at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center
Candy and Stephanie,
I wanted to send these pictures to you of our recent and very enjoyable shotgun shoot. We had a great time with Bob Weiss and at the range learning to shoot. Please thank Bob for his generosity and time. Thanks also to you both for your help on putting together a quality place for our scouts to learn the great sport of Trap and Skeet. Sincerely,
Gary Gorans

The damage from the January 2008 storm has been replaced with a new look in Cowboy Town. Lots of hard work and dedication to purpose went into refurbishing the town and the range is now open and usable. Note: Pictures change by themselves every 5 seconds
