Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide a match where serious tactical marksmen/women can test their shooting skills and abilities in a safe and controlled environment. This competition will enable precision shooters to refine their skills in ways that pre-existing competitions do not currently provide. Matches will be conducted in a professional and safe manner.
Matches are open to all people regardless of race, gender, or religion. Moreover, they must be law-abiding citizens who legally possess a firearm.
Every effort will be made to accommodate those with disabilities; however the very nature of this competition may exclude him or her from certain courses of
fire.

@ 15501 Meiss Road, Sacramento CA
Go directly to the 1000yard Range Pits.
Date: 1st Sunday of each month (We shoot rain or shine)
Match will only be canceled if weather conditions deem it unsafe to shoot.
Time:
Registration opens up at 7:30 AM and close at 8:00 AM sharp. Please be on time! This shoot will be limited to 50 shooters only. First come, first served!
Entry Fee:
$20.00 cash or check
Shooters under 16 years old shoot for free but must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
Active duty military shoot for free. Just bring your military ID with you.
Please note that this match will have certain courses of fire where the competitor may have to overcome physical challenges. An example would be making a short run to your rifle before taking your shots. We also carry all our gear for the entire duration of the match.
NCPPRC Tactical Long Range Match
Required Equipment
I. Center fire rifle with sights capable of shooting 1 MOA or better from 100 yards to 1000 yards.
II. 50 rounds of match grade ammunition.
III. Rifle sling.
IV. Some type of system to carry your ammo and gear in.
V. Some type of hydration system or water bottles. (we shoot in 100+ degrees and will walk over 2 Kilometers).
VI. Eye and ear protection – Electronic amplifying models strongly suggested (i.e. Peltor Tac 6).
VII. Empty chamber flags. (We have them for $1.00 at the match if you need one.)
Optional Equipment
I. Elbows and knee pads
II. Shooting mat
III. Note-taking gear to write down data
IV. Rear rest (sand sock)
V. Bi-pod
VI. Basically you can bring whatever you want to carry as long as it doesn’t hold up the match and you HAVE to carry it the whole time.
Restricted Equipment
I. Rifle calibers have to be smaller than 50BMG
II. Mechanical front rests like the ones they use in Benchrest Shooting are OK.
III. There will be no spotters on the line with a shooter. This is an individual event.

Questions and Answers
What is the typical set-up for this match?
Many combinations are possible, but if you don’t know what will work, here is a basic recipe. Bolt-action rifle, .308 caliber, capable of 1 MOA accuracy or better, with a 3+ round magazine. 50 rounds match ammunition, plus a few extras. Scopes with 30mm main tube is recommended to get the needed adjustments to reach out to 1000 yards.
Do you guys really shoot in the rain and heat?
Yes we do! Rain or shine. Dress for the weather.
Is this a very physically demanding type of match?
Yes and no. We will not make you run 500 yards and then take a shot but we have certain courses of fire that require some physical movement. We also will walk to and from the 1 K line. You will be required to carry your rifle and all required equipment you think you need to complete the match.
What if I never shot out to 1000 yards and do not have elevation data for it?
We can help. Just contact one of the match directors and we can use our ballistic program to get you data. All we need is bullet make, weight, and velocity.
How long does the match usually take?
We usually finish up around 12pm to 1 pm.
Does the group shoot any other time besides match day?
Yes we do. A few of us do go out and practice the Saturday before the match or try to get range time when the 1000 yard range isn’t in use. Cost for practice is $2.00 + range fee.
Does the group have a website?
Yes we do, but you have to sign up for a free Yahoo account to gain access. Just send a request to be added to the Yahoo group and one of the moderators will approve your request.
