Proposed FSC Bylaws 2017
Below is the link to the proposed bylaws that the current board of directors is asking our membership to vote on, pass, and adopt at our Annual Membership Meeting in April of this year.
These bylaws were drafted by a committee consisting of 7 Voting FSC Members with the council of our attorney specializing in developing bylaws for non-profit organizations such as our. Hundreds of hours (and several thousand dollars) were spent in debate, writing, editing, consideration, and re-writing to ensure that these proposed bylaws will meet our current needs, laws, and regulations. These proposed bylaws have been given the "green light" by our attorney and approved by the board of directors to be presented to our membership to be voted on.
Please take the time to review these proposed bylaws and be prepared to vote on the matter at the upcoming election in April. All Voting FSC members should receive ballots by about mid-March, 2017.
We will set aside time at the monthly board meetings leading up and including the Annual Membership Meeting to answer all questions or concerns with the proposed bylaws.
Montly Board Meetings take place at:

Action Pistol Range Orientation Re-Certification
Due to safety issues at the Action Pistol Range (APR) in the past, updated APR rules and a TEST is now required to be able to use the APR. FSC members/guests who have been certified in the past will have to re-certify within one year, starting Saturday, May 4, 2013.
It is advisable to get re-certified early rather than waiting, due to the fact the Action Pistol Orientation classes (APR-O) may get jammed up and restricted later in that year. If you don't get re-certified within that year, you will loose the APR use privilege. If you do not pass the test, your APR privilege will be suspended until you retake and pass the test at a later class of your choice within that year period.
The re-certification is a test only without repeating the pistol shooting Course of Fire (CoF) portion. New members will have to pass the test before shooting the Course of Fire (CoF) requirement.
The first Action Pistol Orientation (APR-O) class will be conducted on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Range 2, Bay 7 at 0900 SHARP. Sign the release/waiver and pay at the Range Office by 0845. All APR-O classes will be on the first and third Saturdays of the month at 0900.
NOTE: All approved FSC member USPSA Range Officers (RO) and IDPA Safety Officers (SO) are exempt from re-certifying (they are the instructors).

Attention match directors!
You are required have a representative from your match attend the monthly board meetings to report on the status of your matches. Attendance will be taken. Matches that fail to attend regularly will have their matches suspended until reports are given. Please arrange to represent your match or arrange for one of your members to do so. Representatives must be FSC members in good standing.
Safety and CCW Classes
Getting a CCW permit in Sacramento County and some surrounding counties is very easy. Recent changes in issuing policies mean that as long as you are not a felon or have been convicted of certain other crimes you are able to get a CCW. Self Defense is good cause, you don't need to be a banker! You do have to pass a background check and pass a 16 hour safety course. Sac Valley can help you with the training. Call us to find out when the next class is on. FSC members get a discount!
